About Me

Welcome friend! I'm Shannon Steinwandel, a child of God and devoted friend and follower of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with three precious children: Ella is 7, Mya is 4.5, and Cal is 2.5. I have been a single mom since May 2012. Currently I am blessed to be able to work part time. God has kept His promise and continues to guide and provide abundantly for us. 

I enjoy exercising, reading, hiking, doing puzzles, and connecting with friends. My favorite thing about motherhood is connecting with my children's hearts and seeing them blossom into godly young people. 

Why the Celebratory Single Mom? God has placed it on my heart to begin an online community that encourages and supports all moms. God is showing me that there are magnificent blessings and great joy in single-parenthood despite the many challenges that exist. I can choose to be grateful, peaceful, and joyous despite my circumstances by staying focused on and connected with God. His power and grace override anything else when I choose to bask in His Word, His promises, and His love and follow Jesus with everything I have. 

I pray that is community will encourage you on your journey. I know time is sparse and you have a to-do list that is never ending, but please take a few minutes to recharge. Join us as we celebrate and bare one another's burdens on this crazy ride of following Jesus and motherhood and become equipped for the blessings God has for us in the future.
